ALAMO, CA
This large residence's landscaping lacked coherent and usable space. A fenced rear pool closed in and separated bordering garden areas. Opening up the existing pool area and planting surrounding cherry trees with vegetation, helped to connect a variety of new garden spaces. The client's intentions to convert the house into a more Mediterranean-style building set the stage for several garden additions. Highlights included a planted 'forest' and 'Old World'-style gates, which playfully contrast with the renovated pool and its lawn-striped pool terrace.
