KENSINGTON 1, CA Hidden behind shrubs with empty, unusable lawn space, this residence lacked privacy, decreasing its property value. The client's modern lifestyle informed the redesign through the use of bold sculptural and graded settings. Sitting steps and bordering stucco benches maximized the minimal outdoor space. Inlayed pattern repetition add interest and encourage interaction. Cherry trees planted along the sidewalk of the street around the property enlarged visually the property into the street.
